Location Address Change Impact on Distance / Transit Time Overrides

When the address for a shipping location is modified, an additional section will be presented at the bottom of the General tab if there are any distance / transit time overrides that refer to the “old” address for the shipping location currently being maintained. When presented, the Distance Time Override Control section will require user to supply a value for Distance Time Override that will indicate what should happened, if anything, to distance / transit time overrides for the shipping location that refer to the “old” address (that is, the address that was just replaced):

• Convert All Affected Overrides: All distance / transit time overrides that refer to the Shipping Location ID / Type currently being maintained and the address that was just superseded (that is, the “old” address) will be modified so that the “old” address is replaced with the “new” address. Conversion will not occur if a row already exists for the “new” address for the current shipping location where all of the other key values are equal: Division, Distance Engine, Tariff, Service plus the “other” Shipping Location ID / Type / Address referenced by the distance / transit time override. Also, conversion will not occur if the distance / transit time override would refer to the exact same Location ID / Type / Address combination as both the first and second location.
• Delete All Affected Overrides: All distance / transit time overrides that refer to the Shipping Location ID / Type currently being maintained and the address that was just superseded (that is, the “old” address) will be deleted.
• Keep All Affected Overrides: All distance / transit time overrides that refer to the Shipping Location ID / Type currently being maintained will be retained.
