The Equipment Type(s) assigned to a load must comply with the Commodity restrictions for the Equipment (for example, only an Equipment Type that is allowed to handle all the commodities associated to the load's shipments will be considered valid for that load).
The Optimizer will only suggest loads where suitable a equipment type (or types) for the given combination of shipment commodities is available.
Transportation Manager Load Build module will not enforce this restriction when building the loads. There will be no additional logic to prevent building loads where the Tractor or Trailer Equipment Type assigned to the load conflicts with the commodity of one of the assigned shipments. However, when attempting to rate a load, this type of violation will be detected, using a mechanism similar to the one employed for detecting commodity exclusion type of violation. This approach ensures that no Load can be set to Planned status while using an Equipment Type with conflicting commodities.
